Good News, Everyone! Charging Cards & Fulfillment Starting Up
almost 2 years ago – Fri, Jul 29, 2022 at 10:16:41 PM

Hey, everyone!

With all of the worldwide shipping issues right now, we are downright ecstatic to announce that our first batch of VHS Dice has arrived here in Portland. Do you know what that means?

We'll be starting up fulfillment THIS WEEKEND! 🎉

In order to do that, we need to charge cards and lock addresses within 48 hours. You should receive an email notification from Backerkit with that reminder, just in case you need to update your card info. If you run into any issues, please let us know ASAP!

Thanks for all of your support over the last few months. We can't wait to get these dice in your hands!

Good News, Everyone! Production Update & An Exciting Arrival
almost 2 years ago – Sun, Jun 26, 2022 at 09:04:17 PM

Hey, all.

We've got some great news to kick off the weekend. Our VHS Dice boxes have arrived here in Portland! We know you're probably on the edge of your seat right now hoping for a first look, so here it is.

Yep, we captured the momentous moment as Lenny walked in with the first box of boxes. Actually, it's more like a box of boxes of boxes (boxception!).

Hail the conquering hero.

While the second half of today's update doesn't come with any fun visuals, it's probably more exciting. Dice production is officially underway! We're right on track to get these blockbuster crits rolling your way come September. 🥳

Have a great weekend,

The 1985 Games Team

Surveys are out!
almost 2 years ago – Tue, May 17, 2022 at 09:54:03 PM

Hey Everyone!!! We are excited to announce the surveys have been sent! Thank you so much for your patience while we got the Backerkit Surveys all set up.

If you have NOT received your survey yet, send us an email or message and we'll get you taken care of.

Don't worry, we haven't forgotten about our last giveaway!! Thank you so much for all the soundtrack suggestions, our office was bumping to Synth for a week! Our winners are:

  • Jacob Gittler
  • Kelly John Cooke
  • Dungeons and Diy

Send us a message or email ([email protected]) with your address so we can send you your winnings!

Thank you all for a great campaign! We are hard at work getting our ducks in a row and your dice in the molds! We'll update soon with some production timelines!

Let's keep this comment train going! This campaign was all about the nostalgia of home movies, but the 80's was a stellar time for genre breaking movies. If we were to do another VHS Dice campaign what genre should we focus on? Horror, Sci-Fi, Comedy, John Hughes?!!? There are so many options for this iconic decade. What's your vote?!

LASERS!

We all know Xanadu would be perfect for this, but beyond that...tell us which 80s movie soundtrack would make for the coolest laser light show, on the Kickstarter page!

(where all the normal comments go).

And that's it! We'll pick our favorite answers and 3 lucky winners will get a past crate from our Big Trouble in Mini Crate Subscription Box!!

We will announce the winner in our next update! Hope you all have a great weekend!

***************************************CHECK THIS OUT!!!************************************

Foam Brain Games is excited to be back with our latest Kickstarter, Lost Tome of Monsters. We've taken our popular Mystery Loot bags and come up with an exciting new spin on it!

Each package contains matching items themed around a specific monster!

AND THEY COME WITH A PINATURES!!!!

Pinatures combine an enamel pin and a miniature that's usable in fantasy RPGs! The page of the lost tome flips down to form the base of the miniature. These models are designed to fit on a standard 1" battlemat.

This is such a cool idea and we are IN LOVE WITH IT!!!! Anyway, don't miss it.
